Father Christopher Monturo was ordained a priest on May 17, 2003 at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City by Cardinal Edward Egan. His first assignment was as Parochial Vicar at Saint Theresa of the Infant Jesus Church in the Bronx from 2003 until his appointment as Pastor of Saint Anthony of Padua Parish on December 1, 2007.
Prior to Ordination, Father Chris studied for the priesthood at Saint Joseph’s Seminary Dunwoodie and Saint John Neumann Residence and Minor Seminary, Bronx. From 2000 – 2003 Father Chris was assigned as a Summer Seminarian at Sacred Heart Parish in Newburgh, where he celebrated his first Mass on May 18, 2003.
