A Sad Note…Carlos Dorado, Jr., Rest in Peace
Sep 29th, 2014 by Father Chris

This morning we learned of the death of Carlos Dorado, Jr.  Carlos is the son of our former maintenance supervisor, Carlos Dorado, Sr.

Carlos was 33 when he died on Saturday evening at 6:45pm after suffering for several months with cancer.  Over the past several months Father Peter, Father Pete and I visited Carlos frequently while he was in the hospital and he was always very faithful and courageous about what he was facing.  In fact, he was an inspiration to all of us.

We offer the heartfelt prayers and condolences of all of the priests, staff and people of our parish to the entire Dorado family asking the Lord to bless you with His peace at this difficult time in your lives.

I would like to encourage parishioners to pay your respects if you are able to do so and most particularly to keep Carlos, his parents, siblings, family and friends uppermost in your prayers over the next few days.

The funeral arrangements are as follows:

Wake and Prayers to be held Wednesday evening October 1, 2014 from 4pm – 8pm at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue in White Plains.  Cremation will be private.

May he rest in peace!

Happy 25th Anniversary Father Jude!

25th anniversary

This month Father Jude celebrates his 25th Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood!  Father Jude was the guest of honor at a special celebration held on Saturday September 13th at Holy Rosary Church in the Bronx.  The Nigerian Community organized the event and many friends from his homeland were able to be on hand to wish him well on this very special occasion.

Here at Saint Anthony’s we are deeply grateful for the invaluable assistance Father Jude is to our parish frequently celebrating Masses during the week and on Sunday morning.  All of us extand our warmest congratulations and best wishes to Father Jude as he celebrates his 25th Jubilee.  And we ask the Lord to grant him many more happy, healthy and grace filled years.  Ad Multos Glorisque Annos!
